Course Syllabus

Course Description:

  1. Exams and Quizzes:
  2. Midterms:  10 problems to be solved in one hour .
    Final:  The final exam will be cumulative based on material from the entire course.
    Homework:  This will be assigned and collected, mostly for time-consuming problems. BlackBoard submission only!
    Quizes:  There could be a number of short quizes ( one-two "simple" questions five-ten minutes prior to the end of lecture). Quiz dates will not be announced in advance.
  3. Grading
  4. The lecture part of the grade will be computed based on 10% for the each mid-term exam,  40 % for all homework, and 20% for the final exam. The final exam will be cumulative, based on material from the entire semester.

    The course grade will be determined by addition of all points (100% total).

    Grading scale    A:85%  B: 75% C:65% D: 55%
